Lake Screeners, Screening plant in the town of Sotto in the province of Lucca, has been formed artificially by the damming of the torrent Edron in 1947 by the Selt Valdarno (now Enel SpA). In 1948 were completed the work of the dam with the subsequent rise to 92 meters.

The waters of the lake, getting flooded several villages, including the main one was Careggine mills, a small village of blacksmiths Bresciani, now re-emerges after unloading exceptionally lake.
